"Sangria Dub" My first track

Just wanted to drop this latin instumental track on you guys for feedback. This site has been a real influence on my music, so I just wanted to say thanks. Also wanted to say thanks to the people that step outside of themselves to help a cat learn something. With all the emails and the hectic nature of life, you still have the time to give back. All of us started somewhere.

SOunds good,, i realy wonder where you got that sax from.

I like the part where you go to a dominant7 chord.

Kick drum could use a little beef, and the bassline could stand out a little more cleare, other than that, its very good peace of work.

Thanx for the feedback Socratez. The sax is from a guy that plays here in San Diego. Hes a great player and a real down to earth person. I will mosdef take your advice on the bassline.

nice track, i particularly like the ambient vocal samples, my only criticism would be the drum sounds - I don't like the kick or the other rhythm voices you've used, the hats, snare on 2's & 4's, tamb etc all way too thin and 'real' sounding...
on a positive note the arrangement is cool and vibe is good [img]smile.gif[/img]

Hey, thanks for the criticism. Its not easy to have people be honest with ya. I'm actually trying to go for the live sounding element, so its a good thing you said that. However, I think that your point might come up when played on a big system. So we shall see!
