    Hi,

I just bought a nice Urei 1601 mixer. It has a nice send and return channel for efects. I'm not happy about my effect box.
Could anybody advice some good software for realtime affects ?
This way I can use my Mac comuter instead of buying an new expensive effect box.

    Thanks, Heupslip

To start with you will need a really good soundcard to be sure you are going into & then out of the Mac with no latency. There are some simple freeware programs that host vsts as realtime effects but you might find it difficult setting things up with a mouse while you are dj-ing.

If you are making mixes at home it would probably be best to record your mix into the Mac without any effects, then add them later in an editing or DAW program.

Can you suggest any simple programs that you are describing? I have alot of mp3's of my own mixes that I'd like to be able to manipulate later in another program.
