Whats up with the visa logo by the hot topics?

It was really weird, I got a visa logo instead of a flaming folder.

Could that be some new adware crap on my pc because I'm at work now and it seems to be normal...

But I have no clue how it got thee or how to make it stop.

It must be noted that this is just the final straw in a week where I have been bombarded with reg changes, ad-ware and spyware. My internet settings no longer exist and have been changed by advertisers that I can't seem to remove from my pc.

It's like having obnoxious house guests that won't leave no matter how many times you throw them out.

Plus it's not something cool, it's a visa logo if it were a cool photo, a flyer or something remotely related to House music I might be fine with it...

Download some spyware removal tools and run a full scan on your PC (check that other thread), and if that dont fix it time to format c: and reinstall windows.

Well, looks like it's time to start the back up and re-install process. Gonna buy registry mechanic and try one last time to get my PC pack.

BTW does this type of stuff happen with Netscape or other browsers ?

In answer to your question, switching browsers can be effective. I like Mozilla.org.

I would definitely suggest you use some type of spyware removal software.

I'm using it now and the visa logos are gone but I don't have the hot folders either, is there a setting I can change to fix this...
