MTV are such hypocrites. Although it stirred controversy, the video with Em imitating Michael Jackson continued to air. But now that there are some political leanings in this new video, they get all riled up?

Actually, I don't think it is banned.

It is featured on MTV's homepage right now.

BET banned his previous video at the request of Michael Jackson (I kid you not), but I think "Mosh" is still on TRL and you can still vote for it.

    Here's something worth recognizing

Eminem is the ONLY pop star in the united states making political music. the ONLY ONE. That's crazy. And bravo to him.

I saw it for the first time on BET's Rap City yesterday.
MTV is full of shit. They can play a video demonizing Michael Jackson, but can't play one that gets people to vote?
    Hypocrisy....
VH-1, MTV, and BET are all owned by Sumner Redstone. And BET and VH-1 have both shown the video, so MTV can't argue that "it's beyond our control" crap.

I was kinda impressed with Bruce Springsteen with his stance. And we all saw what happend to the Dixie Chicks when they came out against Bush and the war. I don't like talking politics with these yee-hah's down here because it is always the same.

I've been reflecting upon this video of Eminems' and I'm not surprised by the election so far (its 11:30pm EST right now & Kerry's losing) as to how it has little effect it had in the voting booth.
& no I wasnt expecting just one video would change many voters' minds.

However, & I'm sorry if I come off as somewwaht racially predjudice but this is exactly why I dont trust white people and their so called "Love" for the hip hop culture & black america in general.

Eminem is obviously one of the most popular artist at the moment in a genre of music that has surpassed everyone's expectations to become basically the dominate selling force for the entertainment industry.
The biggest consumer of Hip Hop happen to be from white suburban kids who enjoy this music which is based on the voice of Black America from the inner cities and you'd think they would get the message of what is going on there by now.
You'd THINk that in digesting what Tupac, Biggie, and 50 Cent talks about when they say basically that life as a black man is not easy that they'd get that idea and maybe be more sympathetic when an issue such as Affirmative Action, racial profiling and gun laws are brought up for voting but yet the situation stays the same if not worse for the conditions in these ghettos. They have so much power to actually improve the conditions of which these very same people who have entertained them through music and poetry brought them joy but instead they vote for a person like BUSH who's done NOTHING for the community but instead invade more people of color in a foreign country.
This isnt an attack upon Eminem since he is pretty aware that his popularity does stem from the fact that he is a white rapper with great lyrical skills but whom white america mnade into a demi god that looks like them, but this is a harsh criticism of these same people who ignore the rudimentary essence of hip hop culture and how it evolved from the HARD KNOCK LIFE of NEw York City to the stereo systems of Nebraska.

let me place it in a nutshell from the viewpoint of a white "lover of hip hop":
"Love the music YOU people make but dont date MY daughter"

This was exactly what I brought up a few months ago when I mentioned how the same white people who were apart of the hippie culture and anti war movement of the 70's and who were about progressive/liberal policies are now in power in the government and have compeltely made a 180 degrees turn around on the very issues they fought for 30 years ago, since they realized they had to eventually do things like pay mortgages forget that whole socialism idea since I gotta get that brand new car before Bob does.

again, there are exceptions of many white americans who know whats up but this is a critique of the MAJORITY of a powerful group in the United States that could make a difference.
