Hi all,

It's been a minute since we've shared any new info so figured it was about time!

    TWO NEWIES COMING SOON...

First off, from the DIASPORA stable, we've got ARNOLD JARVIS "Beautiful Love" (DIA020) - produced by George Mena and Franke Estevez with a dub remix courtesy of Lars Behrenroth and a deep re-rub by Sweet Abraham - vinyl should be hitting shelves by the end of September...distributed by Goya Music (London) and available at all fine vinyl retailers...

From our DIASPORA IN SESSION side, we've got DIRECTIONS' next single from their critically-acclaimed album "Have You Felt This Way Before"..."Deep Talkin'" (DIA021) will hit shelves with a gritty re-edit courtesy of Kenny "Dope" Gonzales and a slightly broken groove by The Marathon Men...distributed by Kudos Records (London) and available late September at all fine vinyl retailers...to celebrate this release, Directions will be performing live on OCTOBER 16TH at London's infamous JAZZ CAFE

Audio clips are available on the Diaspora website and of course feel free to hit us up with feedback or any questions...

Hope you're all well and hope you're feelin' what's on deck...

Funny you should be posting. I am in search of a release on Diaspora and having a tough time here in NY. To tell you the truh, I don't even know the name of it for sure, but it's something like Sunshyne Vibes EP. I know its been out for about a year and maybe more. Any info on how I can get a copy?

Are teh releases mentioned above out in stores yet? If not, when are they coming?

is it by chance the Steal Vybe EP you seek? it's still in print and available...check the website for audio to confirm...let us know if your local stores can't help you out...FYI, we're going to do a re-release on some back catalog in the autumn so some hard-to-find titles might have better availability...if anyone's looking for something in particular, hit us up and we'll put some pressure on the distribs and retail

in terms of the forthcoming releases, they will be in stores in the next 4 weeks...

    where u based?

    J

FYI if anyone has questions about the label or releases then it might be helpful to know that I do work for Diaspora and take care of North America (promo, a&r, etc)... so for any label related questions, you can reach me via keith@diasporarecordings.com

Got Beautiful Love when it came out, but still can't find Deep Talkin'. Is it officially released?

And as a comment, the "Have You Felt This Way Before" single is one of my favorite records of last winter. The Kyoto Jazz Massive Remix is simply beautiful...makes you feel so good inside. Thank you so much.

Wassup Sweet Abraham!!! Your shit is TIGHT!!! I have been following your work from the Deep4Life days, and have been an avid promoter of your productions. Kudos!

    My question:

I'm also looking for the Steal Vybe 12' BTW. I would like to know if you could send me a clip of the Sinan 12' (I think Diaspora #5). If it's to my liking, then I would want to pick that up also.

    peace.

This is all fine and good. I'm definitely gonna check my local store of choice to sample the goods.

On a more important note, the release that I spoke about above cannot be found anywhere aside from a boot @ Vinyl Junkies in London. Once shipped, the record should cost somewhere in the vicinity of $15-$20 when taking the currency conversion into consideration. This is outrageous for something that should be easily found on this side of the pond.

Keith was kind enough to PM me about the issues regarding the domestic distribution. I would think this could easily be taken care of with a couple of phone calls.

I look forward to having the Steel Vybes EP in my collection in the near future.

    Best,
    Josh

    thanks for the support guys...

the new Directions single "Deep Talkin'" drops this week...it's been floating around in 'leak' fashion for a week or so but our official global street date is october 4th...TODAY!

and our Arnold Jarvis release "Beautiful Love" has maintained it's number 4 position for the second print issue of DJ Magazine...TOP 5 for over a month...

in terms of houseaddict getting his hands on DIA016 (Steal Vybe EP): first off, we appreciate you getting in touch with us to give us the heads up as the worst thing for us is when people want something and can't get their hands on it...at least if we know, we can try to address any problems...for this release i do know for a fact that it's been available state-side as i've seen re-orders filled at the distribs with my own eyes and i looked into it when keith raised this issue with me a number of weeks back...the question is really twofold: whether you're connecting with retailers whom we know continue to stock it AND whether the supply is regularly replenished at those retail outlets to satisfy any lingering demand....what i'm also curious about is the reference to 'a boot at vinyl junkies' -- that's worrisome - if u can elaborate, please do so and i can investigate it further when i get back in town...JP might have some 'splainin to do

backstock can occasionally be a troublesome thing in the distribution system and we maintain constant contact with our partners to try to address 'hiccups' as and when they occur...i'm looking into DIA016 as i type this...i'll be back to you...what i can say for sure is that i've intentionally held backstock down for a bit as we've planned a late autumn push for our popular prior releases

and mr. terzian, big up your bad self for the long-standing support ;) it's noted and appreciated! if i'm not mistaken, the Sinan tracks are on the website in realaudio format
