There was some "Is Kobe the Next Jordan" type of thing on Sports Center yesterday but I didn't watch it.

In fact, pardon me while I

when i look back at Jordan's tapes, there is no comparison. he had a command of the game like no other and could take over at will.

I voted for Mike..I don't even think it's fair to Kobe to keep comparing the two....yeah in way it's a hell of a compliment but people will not just let Kobe be Kobe...

MJ was the ultimate player's player. A team player who made other guys look/play better. Plus he showed a humility both on and off the court that made everybody love him. Shit, it was probably all just an act, but it worked!

and he was a man. a lot of these guys in the league now are boys. the level of competition is greatly watered down as well.

MJ no doubt but I like Kobe's grit and determination. Michael (Bird, Thomas and Majic) had a way of making everybody else better. Kobe doesn't (nor has he found out how). Coming to Kobe's defense, he probably is the best in the game "today" at "taking his game to the next level" in clutch situations. MJ was the standard bearer.

Jordan of course. MJ set the standard for 'greatness' that all others follow. I have yet to see anyone c-o-n-s-i-s-t-e-n-t-l-y enforce their will upon a game, regardless of who their playing. Michael did it on both offense and defense.

Kobe is indeed a great player. As stated before, he may even be the best player in the game today. However, he's still got some growing to do.

Take away Shaq and you would be comparing Kobe to Nique or somebody like that. Kobe was watching the same tapes you were T so no wonder there is a similarity, walks like Mike, talks like Mike, chews gum like Mike, passes out like Mike when exhausted. Don't get me wrong he is a great player but its not "let Kobe be Kobe", Kobe wants to be Mike.

I'd take Jordan. I love Kobe but it doesn't take a genius to know Jordan is the better baller. And I'm not a Jordan fan but I gotta give respect where it's due.

Sorry to go against the group. As much as I love Mike I'd take Kobe at 25 over him at 25. Kobe handles the rock better, shoots better from the field and shoots the three better.

Everyone makes the comparison and thats part of the problem, but it wouldn't be that way if someone wasn't trying to be like Mike all the time.
