Who here remembers or even HAS this record?

I listen to every year about this time, it's kinda sad but I think it's one of Prince's best songs. Not to mention his only Christmas song.

About lost love, he sees his X loves grown sister ice skating, she's the prettiest of her daddy's children etc, etc. I can't listen to it too often. Plus the music reminds me too much of Purple rain. I had the purple 12" of this. It was a b-side to something off Purple Rain. Somebody beat me for it while I was in college. Phuccers had the balls to leave the jacket and took the record.

That record always pops up in some record store for a $25 and up during the holidays. It's a good rare record to have, especially if you're a Prince collector like me.

There were two 12"s that I have. The US Promo where it was the Bside to "I would die 4 U" (Extended Version)(45 Rpm). The other is the UK 12" but this one has the LP version of "I would die for you" and the B side has "Christmas' as well as the fantastic "Free". This was given to us in the pool back in the day as well, I guess because the LP version is on it. Happy hunting/

I have the purple vinyl on this as well, of course. All those B-Sides were dope - Erotic City, God, Another Lonely Christmas, She's Always In My Hair - in fact somewhere I have an old mixtape of JUST Prince B-Sides... have to dig that out now that I think about it.
