A few years and 10 + pounds ago I used to do that often. But I learned to come home have something to drink and sleep it off. I would just eat breakfast when I wake up.
If I would pick spots in Chicago - Maxwell Street, Greek Town or Bar-b-que joint in the hood. Oh wait that only if I was still eating pork or beef. ![[Wink]](wink.gif) [ December 03, 2002, 03:53 PM: Message edited by: DiscoLady ]

Jim's IS MY SPOT, man! I get a cheeseborger and polish and a grape pop.
I call it "Hangover Helper". I never wake up with a hangover if I eat Jim's before I go home and crash.

Nookies Tree (excellent!!!) I had a reserved booth there every Friday after the party at Sidecar. We would all meet there and tear some shit up.
Lawrences Fisheries (never again) The last time I was there a fight broke out in the pick-up line between about six people. The damn security guard i sacting like a traffic cop "Hey guys, c'mon, break it up now". This went on for about 2 minutes and I hadn't ordered yet so I decided to break out the back door. As I turned to leave, some bastard clocked ME in the back of the head! Ego took over and it was on for about 30 seconds, then I asked myself what was I gonna do when the pull out the guns? So I broke out and haven't been back since.

Any San Francisco people ever go to Eddie's Cafe on Divis? For the morning after, but the coziest, most hangover-friendly place ever.

Humm if I'm really hungry, I hit The Weaverly Diner in the village and get homefries and eggs with walnut pancakes. If I want it fast, I kick out my $1.95 at Gary Papaya for the 2 dogs and coconut drink special. I hit that spot last night, didn't know they had burgers also. ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)

In Chicago I went to this place River Wongs for late night Thai in some rundown room. Shit was sooo good.
Here in DC, there's so many great options, but nothing tops Yum's fried chicken wing and fried rice special - 5 wings, big ass thing of fried rice, and mambo sauce for $5. There's also Full Key for Chinese, IHOP for breakfast foods, this Greek joint, kebobs, Anne's Steak house...

After a night of serious boozing nothing really coats a stomach better than a fat nasty cheesesteak from pat's goddamn that shit comes in the clutch but you really ought not to eat them more than once a week (i've already had 2 heart attacks and i've only been living here a month and a half damn)
and they're an excellent way to gain weight. i think this theory's been well documented as philly's status as the (ph)fattest city in the land word

You can get chicken sandwiches at Maxwell Street too. That's what I get.

In NYC, either the random Papayas, the random bodega, or Moon Struck cafe (which is kinda pricey). There used to be this bodega down the street from Vinyl that had some DOPE sandwiches and if you were nice to em they'd heat em up for you too. A nice warm smoked turkey w/ provolone sub... mmmmmmmmmm
Up on 190th & St Nick at the subway station there, there used to be this cat that had a cart and sold all kinds of ILL snack type stuff to all the people getting up and going to work. He had a rack of Dominican stuff that hit the SPOT...
In DC... the standard IHOP, Georgetown Diner, or my new thing has been two bacon, egg & cheese croissants from 7-Eleven. Nice, quick, and I can eat em in my living room watching TV instead of dealing with 5000 drunk ass club-goers, pissed off waitresses and cops looking for people to stick with a DUI.
Peace

In San Francisco, we either grab a burrito in the Mission district or go to Jack in the Box in South City since they're open 24 hours.
there's nothing better than having that ultimate cheeseburger, fries and a coke soak up all that alcohol.
