That wasn't included in my Frankie Knuckles newsletter.
It did say that all new house on the radio isn't REAL house because most choose to ignore some of the elements, especially element #4.

I can not agree more with Javasoul on this thread.
DC is a huge producer, here in Paris a lot of so called "deep house" jocks played "Where U At" continuously last year...jocks as such as dj deep, the Yellow Crew, etc...
As dj i would say that as every livin' legend jock, one can be really amazed or totally disappointed by these jocks...it really depends on the venues...and their moods...
It's all House since it's good !

I wonder the same thing. There's nothing I've heard in mixes by Mark Farina or Derrick Carter that would be considered funky. Granted, their both excellent dj's. But to call them funky seems to be a misinterpretaion of what funk really is.
