I wonder the same thing. There's nothing I've heard in mixes by Mark Farina or Derrick Carter that would be considered funky. Granted, their both excellent dj's. But to call them funky seems to be a misinterpretaion of what funk really is.

we all know that james brown is the father of funk (George Clinton is somewhere in there 2) but I still wonder what you folks would consider FUNKY in a house-DJ stand point of view...
please dont come and tell me what Timmy plays at Shelter week in and week out is FUNKYer than what Derrick or Mark drop....
