I just had a Rikki Ricardo...I kept my hair laid...and I would sometimes curl it and wear it in a Morris Day pump.My ass would have to get up early as hell, just to look good at school. Now,I am no longer a pretty boy, just a beautiful slob...
I have to admit... I rocked a long konk,(yeah I said it!) for a minute... what started as curled up in a somewhat beaufont-pompadour style was in my face a sweaty, frizzy mess...and tucked under a giant apple hat by the time I stepped out of oh...Medusa's, PowerPlant, Warehouse....and then on Saturday, I'd do it all over again.... It started as a Versace, though...tradin' in the flat top for some thing a little less played out...once the lames caught hold, it was all over. The "buttaz" just grew... Eventually, they became locks...

That was my moms and aunts spot! They used to go when they were little.
Okay I got one.
Remember when Soul Train was in Chicago on Channel 26?
Remember when they used to show the re-runs of Soul Train on 26,then this dance show from Atlanta? They always used to dance off of Bohannon's Let's start the dance again remix.I even remember seeing Skyy do Call me and they even had telephones doing the phone call.
I don't remember the re-runs I remember the actually shows. My aunt was on one of them. I had to be about 4 or 5 years old.

We were the first A/A family on 128th and Green and Dick Butkus lived down the street from us. I was in kindergarden and 1st grade with his son Todd.
I do remember going to see Bulls when Artis Gilmore played.
And what about the Jackson 5 concert at the old Comisky Park.

When there were two movie theatres on 71st St.--the Jeffery and the Hamilton. And a bunch downtown: Oriental, McVickers, Woods, State/Lake, Michael Todd, Chicago. Triple features for a dollar!
Fuck it, when you call going to the movies going to "the show."

I've come to collect on that $1,000 - LYNN HAULDREN - HE'S NOT THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY, HE'S AN ACTOR THAT'S BEEN PLAYING THE PART FOR FOR ABOUT THIRTY FIVE YEARS.
