I am having trouble with synchronization play back of vocal tracks in cubase sx. I am using a mpc 2000xl as my controller. My mpc is running midi output (B)into an midi port that splits the midi signal into a Roland xv 5050 sound module and into my computer sound card an audiophille 2496. The vocals are recorded correctly in time, however when I press play on my MPC after the vocals have been recorded the timing is off. The voacls seem to be slightly off beat. Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?

that's most likely a latency issue due to the fact that you are slaving your pc to the mpc
try dumping the midi sequnce from the mpc into cubase and let cubase control the devices (mpc and roland) .. so in other words you would be clicking play in cubase to start the song rather than starting it by hitting play on the mpc

mpc's have always been notorious for this! Sometimes it would be a half beat behind your track. Brian's got the right idea.
