I was bitten by a Collie as a kid. It didn't affect me though. I have no fear of dogs, regardless of breed, and love them to death.

who knows what you are supposed to do if you are attacked by a dog? I've heard some say that if you can get a grip on it's collar and kick it in it's groin you may have a chance, others that you should play dead. It depends on the dogs size too

i need a puppy. i have a severely autistic kid in the house that doesn't do well with animals.... so she needs a puppy so that she can get used to it being around...
also i've been going to 3 shelters and some rescues for a year and there are just no puppies. and sorry but i do want a good breed not a mutt. these are animals not humans.. we eat animals daily.

Had it happen a few times. Every time I didn't freak out and stood there and all the dog did was bark and sniff me. The one time I got bit was at my grandmothers friends house. The dogs name was Sampson. He was just a mean dog.

In all honesty...pure breds were mutts at one time. They come from breeds mixed together to form a specific, unique breed. They're just high priced mutts now
Are you using the puppy as part of some animal therapy approach?

yea; I got attacked by a Lab when I was a kid. I tried to cover my neck and roll up ina ball but he wouldn't stop. now I'd at least try to f*ck him up if that happened again

have you considered a service dog for your autistic child? have you done any research on autism, animal phobias, and pets, especially in relation to having a puppy vs a trained service dog?
