HDI featurtes the NYC-premiere of "Check Your Body at the Door", a work-in-progress documentary about House Dance that was financed by the National Endowment of the Arts and directed by Sally Somner, PhD. There will also be a preview screening of "How Do I Look" which captures the Vogue Ball Communities talents, the assets of this very creative and trend setting community and takes you inside of this over 35 year old Harlem tradition. Plus, group showcases (groups TBA) and open cyphers. 6-11pm

On Friday, July 13, 2007, HDI will hold its preliminary competition rounds. Registration is open to all contestants who want to participate in any category: House 1x1, Hustle 2x2, Vogue 1x1, or Experimental 1x1. The top 8 in each category will be selected by a panel of judges to dance in the finals on Saturday July 14th at Club Shelter. 5-11pm + after party 11pm-4am

HDI will host a series of House Dance workshops at the Ailey Studios conducted by some of the world's greatest House Dancers. Classes will include House, Footwork, Voguing and Whacking. 12 - 6pm.

On Saturday, July 14, HDI will stage the final rounds of the competition at CLUB SHELTER, featuring the final 8 from each category (House 1x1, Vogue 1x1, Experimental 1x1 and Hustle 2x2), who will compete face-to-face for cash prizes totaling $4,500! 5-11pm
